Last year, I was lucky enough to sit next to Broad City stars Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson at an industry dinner in Los Angeles. Needless to say, I did not keep it together — and I always keep it together. In fact, I superfanned all over them, telling them stories about my own early-20s Broad City-esque moments, secretly hoping they'd inspire a storyline or two. They didn't, but the duodid prove to be just as funny and down-to-earth as you'd expect.Of course, if you're already a fan of the show, this doesn't surprise you. In three short seasons, Broad City has hilariously pushed the boundaries in every way possible — and beauty is no exception. Between racking up insane cameos (Hillary Clinton, Amy Poehler, Blake Griffin, etc.), the show has also brought humor to beauty topics across the board, from hair removal to bargain haircuts. Naturally, there is no day better than today to take a trip down memory lane.

1. Stay Sober When Brainstorming Million-Dollar Beauty Ideas
Remember when Ilana "created the Instagram," but got too stoned to actually follow through? We hope the million-dollar idea of a gynecologist who's also a bikini waxer (um, genius?!) doesn't fall victim to the same fate.
2. The Best Beauty Hacks Are Done With OrganicProduce
It took serious MacGyver-level beauty skills for Ilana to turn Abbi into her doppelgänger, all to avoid getting thrown out of their local food co-op. The most far-fetched? Wrapping Abbi's straight hair around a carrot to create the bouncy curls you see here. A girl can dream it was that easy.
3. A Good Wig Lasts Forever
Ilana loves a good wig, from the blond one she sported in Abbi's fantasy music video to the cascading red curls attached to her bike helmet, to this one she found on her birthday. (Even more proof that Kylie didn't make wigs popular.)
4. Special Occasions Call For A Special Touch
Hollywood may be having a thing with colored contacts— but Jaimé reminds us that prints exist, too. For example, let us not forget the American-flag contacts he wore when being sworn in as a U.S. citizen after an all-night bender with the duo.
5. Always Specify WhatHair You're Referring To
As far as we know, Ilana only made one big sale when working at Deals! Deals! Deals!, a Groupon-like startup: pube-straightening discount coupons. (Who knew there was a market for that?!) Of course, what Abbi's coworker Gemma doesn't know is that she is not, in fact, talking about the hair on her head.
6. You Get The Haircut You Pay For
Don't tell your hairstylist you're using a discount coupon that makes your haircut $15 until after he or she is finished...
...or you might end up looking like this when you take your driver's license photo at the DMV.
7.Good Lighting Is Everything
Bathroom too dim for tweezing? Follow Ilana's lead and hit up Topshop, which has "amazing lighting" for bikini-line maintenance. (Just be sure you know who is eavesdropping on your conversation about adult videos starring early-aughts heartthrobs.)
8. Wax Before Getting Wasted With Kelly Ripa (Or...Don't)
The constant need to shave or wax is a recurring theme for Abbi. It also gets her out of sleeping with the prostitute Kelly Ripa orders them one night. We'll call that a blessing in disguise.

10. The Bigger The Hair, The Closer To Goddess
Ilana's dreams always feature her with at least double the amount of curls. Really, though, whose dreams don't include fuller locks?

Forgot a hair elastic? Follow Ilana's lead and just use every pencil you can find to create chic buns. Because you really need to be ready for anything...

And finally, perhaps the most important beauty lesson: Curly hair is beautiful...even when tucked into an American Apparel dog hoodie you thought was for human dog owners.
